I’m back home in my studio. I haven’t had much time to think about the coming year. I received a great gift from my son Kerry. It is a set of books called Dressing Dolls – In Nineteenth Century Fashions – Albina Bailey. It will be totally inspiring I’m sure.
It was good to get away from my work, mostly because when I come back I’m always amazed at the beauty of my dolls (meaning both the ones I have sculpted and the dolls I have in my collection). I still don’t totally understand my passion and fascination with dolls. Oh well it really doesn’t matter. I’m just grateful I can share it with all of you who feel the same.
On a personal note, my mother turned 91 New Years day. She now needs to be taken care of so we have found a beautiful home for her.It is the saddest thing to see your loved ones failing. She loved her home as we all did but can no longer care for herself and stay in it. She was lucky she could stay there as long as she has. Here is my lovely mother . The photo was taken in 2011
