I have added a new toddler to my collection. I’ve been trying to get her for a long time but every time I checked Soom she was sold out. I did luck in finally and my little Imda Babette was waiting for me when I got back from my holiday. What a nice present to come home to. I painted her already and found the perfect little dress for her. I knit this dress many years ago with embroidery flower thread. (finer than embroidery floss). I can’t remember why I knit it but probably for one of my polymer clay dolls. I suspect it was too small.
I think this little Imda body is so adorable and poses so sweetly. She fits in with my DT family just fine. I have named her Phoebe. While I was in Quebec a nest full of Phoebe birds hatched. We watched them grow and actually got to see their first flight from the nest. They were in my sister’s wood shed and one day she went to take another picture of them and they flew . One was a bit to young yet so I put her back in the nest but the next day she was on the ground again. I guess her second try wasn’t much more successful than the first. Mom and dad hung around and fed her a few more days then she must have flown. Good thing because there were cats lurking about with great interest.
Here is my little Phoebe – not ready to fly
