New Face up for my DT Amy

This is her third face up. It’s good to experiment. I gave her a less soft-more dramatic face up this time.

I actually bought some skinny jeans for my DT girls. They are Nine Style and almost to tight. I had to pour them into them. They love them but they did admit it was hard to sit down. They couldn’t be any tighter.

Another

Another girl all dressed and ready to go to her new home. Now I will make some outfits for Pink Grapefruit for SD13 and some things for Tessa. I’m still not as familiar with my own girl as I am with the DT body. I think I need a day off. I tried to take one yesterday but ended up sewing a couple of sweaters for my poor DT boy. His wardrobe is greatly lacking. It’s the same for all my little ones too. If I ever retire I’ll make some thing for them or maybe I should just pick a day or two and sew for my own dolls.

Here is Tessa-one more beauty

Next Tessa

Here is the Tessa I just finished dressing. She will be on her way to her owner soon.

Two Tessas

Another Beauty

I just finished this Tessa. She is sold. I like the darker makeup with her lighter hair . I think neutral colours can be very comforting. ….. on to the next project.

I can’t forget about my darling Dollstown girls. They still fascinate me. My tessa looks comfortable with them.

Here is Tessa with her pal:

Thanks to all of you who follow my blog and thanks for your encouraging comments.  I am grateful for you responses and communications. I’m looking forward to a  new year of creativity.

I know I will be painting and dressing Tessas. I will probably do a second head for my doll this year as well. I will still make some outfit to sell on Pink Grapefruit if time allows. I still love my Dollstown dolls. As always I hope I surprise myself in some way with a new creative venture. I’m always open to that and you never knows where life journey may lead  you .

2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 20,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 7 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Hope you are all having a fun holiday. I’m back from Ottawa where I spent a nice Christmas with my family. We had snow on Christmas day which was great because we thought we would have a green Christmas (quite rare in these parts). I’m just getting organized to get back to work. I have 3 Tessas to paint and dress-then I will update my list on their sales procedure.

I took some shots of her I want to share .

My sister Kim has claimed one of my Tessas. She was partly a Christmas gift. Here are some pics of her girl.

Kim’s Tessa and my DT Ganga-(Allie)

Can’t wait to create outfits for her. She is very elegant. The creative process is a bit of a mystery. I guess my personal way of working doesn’t involve a lot of planning so the end result is always a bit of a surprise. Tessa has been a pleasant surprise to me.

Happy Holidays

The holiday season had descended fast. I will have 3 more dolls for sale in the new year.I will send an update when they are ready.

Now it’s time for friends and family so I hope all of you have a great holiday. Thank you for all the support . It has been  fun  sharing my creative efforts with you.

Me Too !!!

Everyone got a velvet dress except my Tessa. She borrowed Bianca’s and thinks it’s for keeps. I think she ought to write to Santa about getting her own.

Speaking of “owning” she does own this:
